A Choice of Cycling Holidays

All our holidays start from La Besnardiere with its beautiful tranquil setting in the heart of the Loire countryside. Whether you choose to join one of our group guided tours (see Tour Dates) or take a self- guided tour we can provide you with the routes, gear and back-up.
Above all else we want you to enjoy your holiday so these tours are designed to be comfortable, occasionally challenging but definately not extreme!!

Guided & Self-Guided Tours in the Loire:

 Gentle

5 to 10 days, approx 15-25 miles/day (24-40 kms/day) a good introduction to cycle touring as the pace is comfortable with lots of stops to explore the area, towns and sights and we usually cycle for 3 to 4 hours each day, with a rest day on the longer tours. Starting and finishing at La Besnardiere, staying at small hotels/b&b along the route.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

 Intermediate

5 to 14 days, approx 30 – 50 miles/day (48 – 80 kms/day) for those who cycle fairly regularly and are comfortable with 4-6 hrs riding each day at a steady pace with regular stops, for refreshment and exploration of historic towns and sights. We have a rest day on the longer tours where you have the choice to continue exploring or to have a lazy day. Starting and finishing La Besnardiere, staying at small hotels/b&b along the route.

On the Gentle tours we cycle for 2 to 4 hours each day and walk around the places of interest, for the Intermediate tours we cycle 3 to 6 hours each day.
